Job summary

Abbott in New Zealand seeks a Technical and Process Engineering Manager to lead a team of Process Engineers and Technologists in Nutritional Powder/Dairy Manufacturing Operations, delivering technical excellence and new product introductions.

You will drive process improvements, ensure quality and regulatory compliance, and work cross-functionally with Operations, R&D, Quality, and Supply Chain to achieve safe, efficient production and ongoing training and development for your team.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in engineering or technical field.
Master’s degree preferred.
Strong background in Spray Drying, Blending and Canning Operations.
Continuous improvement mindset and project leadership ability.

Responsibilities

Lead and support a team of Process Engineers and Process Technologists/Scientists in Nutritional Powder/Dairy Manufacturing Operations.
Provide technical support and troubleshooting for process and product issues.
Identify opportunities to improve manufacturing efficiency, product quality, and reduce waste.
Support plant trials for new products, process improvements, and material changes.
Lead process engineering projects, equipment upgrades, and continuous improvement activities.
Collaborate with Operations, R&D, Quality, and Supply Chain to deliver successful product launches.
