Job summary

Abbott in New Zealand seeks a Technical and Process Engineering Manager based in Pokeno, Waikato, to lead a team of Process Engineers and Technologists. You will provide technical support for manufacturing operations, drive improvements, and ensure quality and food safety across product commercialization activities.

You will collaborate with Operations, R&D, Quality and Supply Chain, oversee trials and equipment upgrades, and contribute to a culture of safety and Abbott values.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, technical, food science or similar.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• Continuous improvement mindset and strategic thinking.
• Programme and project leadership with process excellence.
• Problem solving and analytical capability; influence stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support a team of Process Engineers and Technologists in Nutritional Powder/Dairy Operations.
• Provide technical support and troubleshoot process and product issues.
• Identify opportunities to improve manufacturing efficiency and reduce waste.
• Support plant trials, equipment upgrades and continuous improvement activities.
• Collaborate with Operations, R&D, Quality and Supply Chain to launch products.
