Job summary

Lifespan Health System – New Plymouth, North Island, is seeking experienced Nurse Practitioners to join Coastal Medical Limited's clinical teams across Taranaki. These roles can be permanent or casual, with flexible school-hours to full-time sessions, within well-supported community practices.

You’ll provide advanced assessment, prescribing, and ongoing patient management, supported by dedicated clinical and admin teams and a structured, collaborative model for sustainable care.

Qualifications

• Registration with the Nursing Council of New Zealand and a current practising certificate.
• Current prescribing authority within scope.
• Advanced clinical assessment and decision making.
• Commitment to culturally safe practice and Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
• Ability to work autonomously within a team context.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced assessment, diagnosis, prescribing and ongoing patient management.
• Collaborate with GPs, ECPs, PAs and nursing teams.
• Participate in governance, triage and coordinated care systems.

Coastal Medical Limited (CML) is a growing, multi-site primary care organisation supporting communities across Taranaki. We’re seeking experienced Nurse Practitioners to join our clinical teams across several locations. These roles can be offered on a permanent or casual basis, with flexibility from school hours through to full-time sessions. Based within well-supported community practices, this is an opportunity to work with genuine clinical autonomy while being part of a structured, collaborative model designed for sustainability and long-term workforce wellbeing.

What the role offers

You’ll practise both independently and collaboratively, providing advanced assessment, diagnosis, prescribing, and ongoing patient management.

You’ll be supported by:

• Structured triage and coordinated care systems
• Centralised governance and operational support
