Job summary

Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora in New Plymouth, Taranaki, is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the surgical day ward. This permanent 0.8 FTE role offers a stable, patient‑centred environment.

You will provide care across peri‑operative and post‑operative stages, collaborate with theatre, endoscopy, CNS and other specialists, and uphold best practice nursing standards. NZ Nursing Registration and 2+ years surgical experience are required.

• Current NZ Nursing Registration and practicing certificate.
• 2+ years surgical experience.
• Able to cope with varied workload and work under pressure.

About the Team/Service/ Location

Our team plays an integral part in the peri-operative phase and surgical post operative care, we work closely with theatre, endoscopy, CNS and many of the specialist within health New Zealand Taranaki. We care for patients undergoing a board range of specialities in a high turnover environment. Our priority is to provide professional and exceptional quality nursing care to our patients, their whanau, staff and visitors whilst in our department.
