Job summary

Metlifecare Limited is seeking a highly experienced Nurse Manager for our 41-bed facility in Highlands, East Auckland. This full-time role runs Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week, with a competitive salary and a 20% bonus structure tied to KPI targets.

You will lead a dedicated care team, partner with the Village Manager to drive occupancy and care quality, and ensure strong financial and clinical governance in a premier retirement village setting.

Qualifications

• NZ Registered Nurse with current practising certificate.
• Solid leadership experience and skills.
• Strong understanding of gerontological and clinical best practice preferable.
• Strong business acumen with budgets and financial accountability.
• Leadership and training capability to motivate and lead staff.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the Village Manager as part of the leadership team to support sales and ensure occupancy are maximised.
• Own the Care P&L and ensure astute financial management and delivery of the budgeted performance across all aspects of the care facility.
• Provide leadership and development opportunities to the care team.
• Embrace change and manage rostering effectively with a flexible, smart approach.
• Ensure premium care delivery for residents and families with excellent service.
• Maintain clinical practice standards and industry compliance.
• Establish and maintain a high profile within the local community.

About the role

We are seeking a highly experienced and passionate Nurse Manager to lead our fabulous team at our 41-bed care facility at Highlands, in East Auckland.

This is a full-time position working Monday to Friday – 40 hrs. week.
