Health New Zealand - Te Whatu Ora Southern invites applications for a Nurse Educator Learning and Compliance role based in Invercargill. This permanent 0.6 FTE part-time position focuses on advancing nursing practice and compliance across our district.

Qualifications

  • Current and considerable post registration nursing experience.
  • Professional credibility in the clinical setting.
  • Confidence and passion for supporting and developing our nurses.
  • First-rate knowledge of the professional standards and regulations for nurses.
  • Experience in the use and implementation of digital technologies that support clinical practice.
  • Superior written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A current driver's license.

  • Lead and support projects that involve planning, implementing, and evaluating of initiatives that improve patient care and service delivery.

Nurse Educator Learning and Compliance * Southland Hospital, permanent 0.6 FTE part time role * Salary Band $114,025 - $121,444 per annum pro rata

About the Role Our Practice Development Unit is a diverse and dynamic environment. Based in Invercargill this role is a great opportunity for you to share your knowledge and improve patient care outcomes by combining your interest in healthcare with your flair for information technology, data science, and workforce development.

Tasks for this role include but are not limited to:

  • Progress nursing practice by ensuring our workforce meets evidence-based guidelines and professional standards, including essential training and compliance.
  • Lead and support projects that involve the planning, implementing, and evaluating of initiatives that improve patient care and service delivery.
  • At times work across the whole Health New Zealand Southern district
  • Help ensure the nursing workforce meets evidence-based guidelines, professional standards, and emerging digital health expectations that enhance care delivery

About you It is essential that you are a Registered Nurse with a current practising certificate, with an appropriate postgraduate qualification and hold or be working towards PDRP and ready to submit within 6 months.
