Job summary

Dunedin Hospital is seeking a Nurse Educator to lead education, coaching, and change initiatives within the Practice Development Unit. The role is 0.5 FTE fixed-term until November 2027, based in Dunedin, offering opportunities to enhance patient care through evidence-based practice and digital health integration.

You will share knowledge, support workforce development, and ensure compliance with professional standards while coordinating projects across the Southern district as needed.

Qualifications

• Current and considerable post-registration nursing experience.
• Registered Nurse with a current practising certificate.
• Appropriate postgraduate qualification.
• Experience with digital technologies that support clinical practice.

Responsibilities

• Share knowledge and improve patient care outcomes through education, coaching, and change leadership.
• Lead and support planning, implementation, and evaluation of initiatives to improve patient care and service delivery.
• Ensure the nursing workforce adheres to evidence-based guidelines and professional standards.
• Collaborate across the Health NZ Southern district as required.
