Job summary

OneStaff is seeking an experienced Night Shift Team Leader to own and drive the night shift at our East Tamaki facility in New Zealand. You will be a visible floor leader, directing a team, managing resources, resolving issues and ensuring production targets are met.

You will work with the wider operations team to hand over shifts smoothly and contribute to a high-performance culture. The role requires 3–5 years in manufacturing leadership and a strong focus on safety, quality and continuous

Qualifications

• 3-5 years leadership experience within manufacturing, production or FMCG.
• Proven experience leading, motivating and developing teams in fast-paced environments.
• Strong understanding of production, quality, safety and operational processes.
• Excellent communication, problem solving and conflict resolution skills.
• The confidence to make decisions and take ownership of shift operations.
• Experience using ERP or production management systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead and motivate the night shift to achieve daily production targets.
• Oversee day to day production activities, ensuring quality, efficiency and output standards are met.
• Allocate staff and resources effectively to meet operational requirements.
• Promote and maintain a strong health & safety culture across the shift.
• Identify and resolve production, staffing and operational issues quickly and effectively.
• Monitor performance and ensure processes and procedures are consistently followed.
• Support training, coaching and development of team members.
• Complete shift reporting and provide clear handovers to the wider management team.
• Drive accountability, productivity and continuous improvement across the shift.

We’re looking for a confident, hands on and resilient manufacturing leader who enjoys being on the floor and getting the best out of their team.

You’ll ideally bring:

• 3-5 years leadership experience within manufacturing, production or FMCG
• Proven experience leading, motivating and developing teams in a fast paced environment
• Strong understanding of production, quality, safety and operational processes
• Excellent communication, problem solving and conflict resolution skills
• The confidence to make decisions and take ownership of shift operations
• Good intermediate PC skills, with experience using ERP or production management systems
• A high level of reliability, accountability and operational discipline
• The ability to work effectively under pressure and adapt to changing priorities

What’s On Offer

• 3 month temporary contract, with potential to extend for the right person
• Monday–Friday, 10:00 PM – 6:30 AM
• East Tamaki location
