Job summary

Pullman Auckland is seeking an experienced Night Manager to lead overnight hotel operations, overseeing the night team, guest services, and the nightly audit. You will ensure safety, manage escalations, and coordinate with key departments to deliver exceptional guest experiences.

The role requires strong leadership, hotel operations knowledge, and flexibility to work overnights, weekends and holidays, with a focus on revenue reconciliation and safety.

Qualifications

• Previous Night Manager or senior Front Office experience.
• Strong knowledge of hotel operations and guest service.
• Opera PMS experience is highly regarded.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to lead and motivate teams.
• Comfort with overnight shifts, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the Front Office and Night team during overnight operations.
• Ensure the smooth running of the hotel while acting as the Manager on Duty.
• Complete and oversee the nightly audit and revenue reconciliation processes.
• Handle guest enquiries, requests, and escalations professionally and efficiently.
• Maintain the safety and security of guests, team members, and property.
• Coordinate responses to emergencies and incidents when required.
• Drive exceptional guest satisfaction and uphold service standards.
• Work closely with Housekeeping, Reservations, Finance, Engineering, and Revenue Management.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Night Manager to lead our overnight hotel operations. As the senior manager on duty during the night shift, you will oversee the hotel's operations, ensure exceptional guest experiences, maintain security and safety standards, and manage the night audit process.

As Night Manager, you will:

• Lead and support the Front Office and Nightteam during overnight operations.
• Ensure the smooth running of the hotel while acting as the Manager on Duty.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Previous experience in a Night Manager, Night Audit Manager, or senior Front Office leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of hotel operations and guest service.
• Experience with hotel PMS systems (Opera experience highly regarded).
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, and Microsoft Office
• Managers and First Aid Certificatepreferred
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Proven ability to lead, coach, and motivate teams.
• Strong attention to detail and financial accuracy.
• Flexibility to work overnight shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
• A calm and professional approach when managing incidents and guest concerns
