Job summary

Millennium Services Group is seeking an experienced Night Cleaning Supervisor to lead our Albany night operations with a strong specialist cleaning background. The role requires mentoring a small team, overseeing safety procedures, and ensuring client SLAs are met.

Hourly rate is $28, with evenings and weekend rosters. The ideal candidate will have proven cleaning supervision experience, a NZ Driver Licence, and be willing to obtain EWP and Working at Heights certifications.

Responsibilities

The Role:

We are looking for an experienced and hands-on Night Cleaning Supervisor with a strong background in specialist cleaning to lead our night operations in Albany.

This role is ideal for someone with proven specialist cleaning and supervisory experience who enjoys leading from the front. You'll be confident managing and mentoring a team, have a strong understanding of specialist cleaning techniques, equipment, and health and safety requirements, and take pride in delivering exceptional service to clients.

Hourly rate: $28

Roster:

Thursday: 21:30 - 02:00

Friday: 21:30 - 06:00

Saturday-Monday: 19:00 - 04:00

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and support a small team of night cleaners
• Effective task scheduling to ensure deadlines and SLAs are met.
• Ability to prioritize tasks under pressure.
• Assigning duties, conducting spot checks, and ensuring task completion.
• Supporting staff with guidance and mentorship.
• Oversee and participate in daily cleaning operations within the store.
• Meet rotations and KPI's for our client site.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies.
• Maintain cleaning equipment and ensure all tools are in good working condition.
• Respond to client requests and feedback
• Maintain Rosters and provide shift coverage when required
• Recruit and onboard new team members
• Taking immediate and appropriate action during accidents or hazards.
• 22.5 hours of floor scrubbing duties and 15.5 hours of specialist cleaning tasks

About You:

• Proven specialist cleaning and/or cleaning supervisory experience.
• Experience in supervising and managing a team.
• Excellent communication skills (oral and written)
• Good organizational and time-management skills.
• Good client management skills.
• Ability to train and mentor staff effectively.
• Knowledge and experience of cleaning techniques, materials, and equipment.
• Familiarity with health and safety regulations and procedures.
• Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality.
• Basic computer and phone application knowledge.
• Ability to verify certain requirements.
• Knowledge of TBT training, roster management, stock ordering.
• Full New Zealand Driver Licence (essential).
• EWP (Elevated Work Platform) certification (required/willing to get one).
• Working at Heights certification (required/willing to get one).
