Job summary

Massey Primary School is seeking a specialist teacher to support neurodiverse learners in a collaborative, inclusive setting. You will work with classroom teachers, LSAs, LS C and SENCO to design, implement, and review IEPs that reflect each student’s strengths and needs.

Applicants should have a neurodiversity-affirming approach, strong communication skills, and current Teaching Council registration in New Zealand. The role is full-time and permanent, located in Auckland.

Qualifications

• Experience in inclusive teaching and learning support.
• Strong collaboration with LSAs and external agencies.
• Excellent communication with whānau and colleagues.
• Current registration with the Teaching Council of Aotearoa New Zealand.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with classroom teachers, LSAs, and external agencies to support neurodiverse students.
• Develop, implement, and review Individual Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to student needs.
• Lead and support a team of LSAs within a neurodiversity-affirming learning environment.
• Maintain strong partnerships with whānau and colleagues to monitor progress.
