Job summary

Halter is transforming livestock farming through connected collars and a private IoT network. We’re seeking a Technical Specialist - Network to join the CX team and own first-line resolution of collar connectivity issues.

You’ll build dashboards, runbooks, and tooling to speed triage, collaborate with the Network and Fleet teams, and coach the Tier-2 group to solve more problems. This on-site Auckland role demands clear communication, customer empathy, and hands-on problem solving to keep farms

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a customer-facing role with ownership of outcomes
• Demonstrated ability to translate customer pain points into clear escalations
• Interest in networking, connectivity, or distributed systems concepts

Responsibilities

• Triage and manage escalations related to collar connectivity, escalating when deeper engineering is needed
• Build dashboards, playbooks, and monitors to streamline triage workflows
• Investigate on-farm connectivity issues and surface actionable insights
• Collaborate with Network and Fleet teams to improve first‑line resolution
• Upskill the T2 team to root cause network issues
• Track ticket volume, resolution time, and device uptime
• Participate in on-call coverage to support incident response
• Bridge Support, Product, and field with clear handoffs
