Job summary

Halter is seeking a Field Specialist (Northland) to support the maintenance and performance of on-farm hardware across New Zealand. This hands-on role requires strong technical ability, proactive problem solving, and reliability in field operations.

You’ll travel within the North Island region and occasionally nationwide to install, maintain and upgrade Halter infrastructure, collaborating closely with product and customer success teams.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with tools, electrical work, construction, networking or equipment fitting.
• Willingness to travel within NZ and occasionally nationwide.
• Strong time management and proactive problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance and repair of Halter’s on-farm infrastructure.
• Diagnose hardware issues and communicate findings to the team.
• Deploy and upgrade infrastructure as needed on farm sites.
• Provide on-site support during deployments and during incidents.
• Be part of the on-call roster and respond to tower-related issues promptly.
• Collaborate with hardware, product and customer success teams.
