Job summary

Auckland Transport is seeking a Network & Security Specialist within the Business Technology team. The role focuses on provisioning and managing CRL Network/Security systems across on-premise, cloud or hybrid environments to ensure scalability, security, availability and measurable performance.

You will drive lifecycle management, automation and service resilience, with responsibilities including incident response and after-hours support on a rotating on-call roster.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline, or significant proven experience in a similar role.
• Vendor certifications in Network/Security infrastructure.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a distributed technology environment.
• Demonstrable experience with core networking technologies: Firewalls, Load Balancers, Routing, Switching, Security and Wireless.
• Ability to participate in an on-call support roster and respond to critical incidents outside normal hours.

Responsibilities

• Manage lifecycle and provisioning of CRL Network/Security systems across on-premise, cloud or hybrid environments.
• Automate and manage lifecycle of network/security/infrastructure services per CRL and SEC/DEV/OPS requirements.
• Monitor performance and operational indicators to ensure continuous delivery and service reliability.
• Participate in after-hours on-call roster for incidents and service restoration.
