Job summary

Vending Direct Ltd is seeking an experienced National Planning Manager to own national field planning, route optimisation, fleet coordination and execution. This hands‑on leadership role spans Wellington, Christchurch and Auckland with about 30 drivers under direct/indirect reporting lines.

You’ll drive KPI dashboards and ensure alignment across planning, inventory and warehousing while reporting to the General Manager.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in operations, logistics, planning or field service in high‑volume environments.
• Proven experience leading operational teams across multiple locations.
• Data‑driven mindset with KPI ownership, dashboards and reporting.
• Strong communication skills with drivers, warehouse teams and senior management.
• Full, clean New Zealand driver’s licence is required.

Responsibilities

• Own national route planning to optimise driver routes and service frequency.
• Lead two regional site leaders, an Auckland warehouse manager and ~30 drivers.
• Manage the national fleet maintenance and servicing programme.
• Coordinate inventory, warehousing and field execution for countrywide alignment.
• Maintain an operational KPI dashboard and drive continuous improvement.
