Livestock Improvement Corporation (LIC) is seeking a senior operational leader to head Herd Testing at a national level, coordinating field and depot operations across New Zealand and shaping the future of Herd Testing.

You'll lead through Depot and Team Leaders, standardising field methods, improving operational performance and safety, while aligning with strategic priorities for farmers and LIC. Hamilton base with hybrid options available.

Qualifications

• Proven operational leader capable of unifying people, processes and performance at a national scale.
• Experience leading complex, multi-site or dispersed operations.
• Strong track record of improving consistency and operational performance.

Responsabilités

• Lead the nationwide delivery of Herd Testing field and depot operations.
• Lead through Depot and Team Leaders to build capability, alignment and accountability.
• Drive consistency and standardisation of field methods and practices across New Zealand.
• Partner with the Field Operations Technical Manager to implement agreed ways of working.
• Champion safer-by-design approaches that reduce risk and physical strain.
• Manage national resources including people, assets and fleet and hit operational/financial targets.
• Use data to identify risks, opportunities and improvement priorities.
• Collaborate across Herd Testing and LIC teams to deliver integrated outcomes for customers.
• Contribute to strategic direction and future development of Herd Testing as a leadership team member.
