Job summary

LIC is a farmer-owned co-operative supporting herd improvement and dairy industry success in New Zealand. Herd Test Technicians use LIC vehicles to deliver and install Herd Testing equipment in dairy sheds across the region, then return the next day to collect samples and equipment.

The roles are casual, based in Palmerston North and the Wairarapa/Tararua region, lasting about 9 months to cover seasonal peaks.

Qualifications

• Clean full Class 1 driver’s licence.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Self-motivated, professional and reliable.
• Exceptional time management abilities.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Flexibility with working hours and locations within the region.
• Tech-savvy with a can-do attitude.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and install Herd Testing equipment in dairy sheds using LIC vehicles.
• Return the following day to collect completed samples and equipment.
