Job summary

NZ Transport Agency (Waka Kotahi) seeks a Contract Manager - Professional Services for six months to cover parental leave within the National Contracts team. You will administer professional services contracts under the Consultancy Contract Conditions and maintain accurate contract records across the state highway network.

Qualifications

• Experience administering professional services, consultancy, infrastructure or similar contracts.
• Ability to read, understand and apply contract documents and follow defined contractual processes.
• Experience preparing professional correspondence, contract notices, service orders, variations or similar documentation.

Responsibilities

• Administer professional services contracts in accordance with the Consultancy Contract Conditions and NZTA requirements.
• Prepare clear contractual correspondence including notices to consultants, service orders and variations.
• Assess payment information and maintain records of approvals, expenditure, commitments and contract changes.
• Coordinate supplier availability and onboarding of resources, monitor contract expenditure and support value-for-money decisions.
• Maintain audit-ready contract records and monthly reporting on cost, progress, risks, and performance.
