Owning core national business events from design through to execution, you will bring together teams from across DairyNZ, strengthen regional delivery through practical tools and guidance, and use event insights to continually lift impact. You will also lead and developanEvents Marketing Specialist and guide a wider community of event practitioners across the business.

Lead,coachand develop the Events Marketing Specialist, building capability,confidenceand accountabilityto deliver high-impact outcomes
Build strong, collaborativerelationships across DairyNZ and with external partners,suppliersand venues to deliver events that meet business and audience needs.
Lead a community of practicefor eventsthat champions best practice, brandstandardsand quality data capture.
Oversee event planning,logistics, marketing coordination, registrations, budgets, health and safety, riskmanagementand reporting.
On owned events, use event KPIs, attendee data and post-event insights to drive continuous improvement anddemonstrateimpact.
You are an experiencedseniorevents leader who can see both the big picture and the detailrequiredto deliver exceptional experiences. Strategic, collaborative and commercially astute, you are confidentcollaborating with andinfluencing senior stakeholders and coordinating delivery through regional or matrixed teams. You combine strong planning and project management with creativity, soundjudgementand a commitment to continuous improvement.
A relevant tertiary qualification in Events Management, Marketing, Communications,Business or a related discipline, or equivalent senior-level practical experience.
At least 10 years of event management experience, including leadership of large-scale corporate,nationalor multi-region events.
Proven experience leading end-to-end event strategy,designand delivery, beyondlogisticsexecution.
Experienceestablishingevent frameworks,standardsand governance to improve consistency and quality.
Strong stakeholder management skills, including influencing senior leaders and peopleoutside your direct reporting line.
Demonstrated people leadership and coaching experience, with the ability to build capability and accountability.
Strong commercial acumen, including budget oversight, suppliernegotiationand value-for-investment decisions.
Experience managing complex portfolios, competing priorities, event risk, compliance and health and safety requirements.
Experience in agriculture, the primary sector, a membership-basedorganisationor a not-for-profit environment.
