Progressing a positive future for New Zealand dairy farming
We are full of people who have a passion for doing good and creating positive change. We leverage our collective strength by bringing the dairy sector together, helping farmers build more sustainable, profitable and resilient farm businesses, because a strong dairy sector means a strong New Zealand.
This role is all about enabling great farmer events and effective regional delivery. As part of the Lower South Island Regional Team, you’ll coordinate the systems, logistics, administration and data that sit behind high-quality regional events.
You’ll work closely with your local regional team, Communications and Marketing, CRM and Farmer Insights, national event teams and local suppliers to coordinate events, bookings, registrations, run sheets, equipment, CRM records and reporting. You’ll also help support the smooth day-to-day operation of our Invercargill office.
This is a varied, hands‑on role where you’ll connect people, keep delivery on track and help improve the processes and systems that make events easier and more consistent across DairyNZ.
The role is based in our Invercargill office and requires travel within the Lower South Island.
Key responsibilities include:
You’ll be a highly organised, solutions-focused person who enjoys bringing people, plans and logistics together. You’ll be comfortable managing competing priorities, working seamlessly across different teams, making sound decisions under pressure and keeping others informed throughout the delivery process. Self‑sufficient and self‑motivated with an eye for detail and accuracy that is at a high standard.
You will have 3-5 years office administration experience with a high level of computer literacy including data entry and database management.
A tertiary qualification and knowledge of New Zealand Dairy Industry isn’t essential but would be a bonus.
