Mō te tōnga | About the role
We are seeking a creative and highly adaptable Multiplatform Content Creator with strong te reo Māori capability to develop engaging content that connects with audiences across digital, social and broadcast platforms. This role has a strong focus on creating impactful short-form video, social-first storytelling, promotional campaigns, and marketing content that drive audience engagement, awareness, and growth.

Working closely with Content, Audience Engagement, and Marketing teams, you will identify trends, generate innovative content ideas, and create compelling content that resonates with Māori audiences. You will produce content from concept to delivery while authentically incorporating te reo Māori and tikanga Māori into your storytelling and creative practice.

To succeed in this role, you'll bring experience in video production and editing, strong skills in Adobe Premiere Pro, and confidence in creating high-quality content from concept to delivery. You'll have a creative mindset, enjoy collaborating with producers, content creators, and stakeholders, and have a natural ability to spot storytelling opportunities that resonate with audiences.

This is a full-time position, based at our head office in East Tāmaki.

Create high-quality content across digital, social and linear platforms, including shooting, writing, editing and producing text and video content.

Develop engaging social media content, including posts, stories and short-form video tailored to different platforms and audiences.

Generate innovative content ideas and contribute to campaigns that support audience growth and engagement.

Stay current with media, rangatahi and audience trends to ensure content remains timely and relevant.

Apply multiple craft skills, including interviewing, scripting, editing and producing, to deliver content end-to-end.

Work collaboratively with producers and wider teams to coordinate assets, workflows and digital initiatives.

Use Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Premiere Pro, Photoshop and After Effects, to produce high-quality content.

Support the development of team capability through knowledge sharing, brainstorming and creative collaboration.

Deliver content to a high standard, within agreed timeframes and in line with Whakaata Māori values, brand and broadcasting standards.

At least two years’ experience in content production, social media creation, broadcasting or a similar digital media environment.

Experience creating content end-to-end, from ideation and shooting through to editing and delivery.

Experience creating content that engages and grows audiences, including digital and social media content.

Experience in live streaming or live broadcast.

Strong writing and communication skills, with the ability to create engaging copy for digital platforms.

Advanced skills in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Premiere Pro, Photoshop and After Effects.

Experience creating culturally relevant content that reflects and respects Māori values, te reo me ngā tikanga Māori.

Strong creative thinking and the ability to develop innovative ideas aligned with audience and business objectives.

A commitment to developing your technical, creative and te reo Māori capability.
