Own the organic social presence for two well-known consumer brands and turn great New Zealand experiences into content people want to watch, share and engage with.

  • Own organic social strategy, content and community end-to-end
  • Create reels, video and content with creative freedom

We’re recruiting for an established consumer brand looking to bring its organic social capability in-house and take its content and community engagement to the next level.

This is a newly created, hands-on role for someone who genuinely loves social media and knows how to turn an idea into engaging content. You’ll own the day-to-day organic social presence across two brands, from planning and creating content through to publishing, community management, influencer activity and performance insights.

A big part of the opportunity is creative storytelling. You’ll have plenty of scope to experiment with reels, short-form video, trends and new ideas while working within established brand guidelines.

You’ll also support the wider marketing team with campaign rollout and creative assets across digital and physical channels.

What you’ll be doing
  • Own organic social across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook and LinkedIn.
  • Plan and manage social and content calendars across two brands.
  • Film, edit and produce engaging reels, video and social-first content.
  • Write social copy that reflects each brand's individual tone of voice.
  • Identify trends and opportunities for reactive, relevant content.
  • Manage online communities, comments, messages and customer engagement.
  • Build relationships with influencers and coordinate influencer campaigns.
  • Work with tourism partners and internal teams to uncover great content and storytelling opportunities.
  • Create and adapt marketing assets using tools such as Adobe Photoshop and Canva.
  • Support campaign rollouts across EDM, website, social and other marketing touchpoints.
  • Track content performance and use insights to continually improve the social strategy.
About you

You’ll have around 3–5 years’ experience in social media, content or consumer marketing, ideally gained within a fast-moving retail, travel, tourism, fashion, beauty or ecommerce environment.

More importantly, you’ll be someone who is naturally creative and plugged into what is happening across social. You know what makes a good reel, can spot a content opportunity quickly and are comfortable taking an idea from concept through to finished content.

You’ll bring:

  • Strong hands-on organic social media experience.
  • Confidence creating and editing short-form video and reels.
  • Intermediate design capability, ideally across Canva and Adobe Photoshop.
  • Strong copywriting and visual storytelling skills.
  • A good understanding of social trends, audiences and engagement.
  • Experience working with influencers or content creators.
  • The ability to work within brand guidelines without losing creativity.
  • Strong organisation and the ability to juggle content, campaigns and deadlines.
  • A proactive, can-do attitude and the ability to move at pace.
  • Confidence occasionally getting in front of the camera when the content calls for it.

This could be a particularly good move for someone currently working in a social or content role who is ready to step up and take genuine ownership of a brand's organic social presence.

Applicants must have the right to live and work in New Zealand.
