Job summary

VINZ - Vehicle Inspection NZ is seeking a Multi-Site Branch Manager based in Palmerston North to oversee four sites across Palmerston North, Lower Hutt, Masterton and Whanganui. You will lead teams, manage resources and drive performance while maintaining safety and inspection quality.

The role requires nine years in automotive trade, a relevant trade qualification, and a current NZTA CoF B inspecting authority or eligibility.

Qualifications

• Nine years of automotive trade experience or more.
• Relevant trade qualification in diesel or automotive tech.
• Current NZTA CoF B inspecting authority or eligible.
• Knowledge of vehicle inspection requirements and legislation.
• Strong leadership and people development capabilities.
• Commercial understanding and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead operations across four sites with travel between locations.
• Balance people leadership with commercial and technical needs.
• Manage budgets, expenditure, invoicing and reporting.
• Develop high-performing teams through coaching and training.
• Ensure compliance with Waka Kotahi requirements and VINZ policies.
• Grow business by managing key accounts and customer relations.
• Drive safety, productivity and service improvements.
