Job summary

Paper Plus Rotorua Central is seeking an energetic Retail Assistant to join our busy store. You’ll help customers find books and gifts, assist with Lotto, NZ Post and banking services, and ensure a great shopping experience in a fast-paced environment.

This role averages 28 hours per week, with a pattern of 4 days most weeks and 5 days over a rotating two-week period; weekend shifts are required, with Saturdays rostered and Sundays off. Training provided.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service skills and a friendly, helpful attitude.
• Ability to assist customers with product enquiries and merchandising.
• Accurate cash handling and till operations.
• Clear communication with customers and team members.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers in store with sales and product queries.
• Operate tills and handle cash transactions accurately.
• Support Lotto, NZ Post, and Kiwibank services where required (training provided).
• Maintain high store presentation and merchandising standards.
• Work effectively in a busy, fast-paced retail environment.
