Job summary

Palmerston North City Council is seeking an Operator – Sorting for the Awapuni Resource Recovery Centre. You will support the Materials Recovery Facility operations, sorting recyclables and ensuring high-quality standards while contributing to a safe, efficient site.

The role is physically demanding, in a fast-paced environment, with PPE provided and benefits including 5 weeks annual leave, staff health initiatives, and a supportive team culture.

Qualifications

• Experience in Materials Recovery Facilities is preferred.
• Ability to work in dusty/noisy environments.
• Role is physically demanding; pre-employment medical may be required.
