Job summary

Green by Nature in Queenstown is seeking a Mower Operator (Premier Parks) to join our trusted parks maintenance team. You’ll be responsible for scheduled mowing across the Queenstown Lakes District, keeping parks, gardens and public spaces well presented.

You will perform weed eating, edging and general maintenance of equipment, and log maintenance tasks. A full, current manual-licence is preferred, and physical fitness is essential to meet the demands of outdoor work.

Qualifications

• Ability to safely operate commercial ride-on mowers and related machinery.
• Full, current driver’s licence; manual preferred.
• Physically fit for parks maintenance duties.
• Basic computer skills for logging maintenance tasks.

To support our mission, we're seeking a Mower Operator specifically for our Premier Parks.

What You’ll Do:

As a Mower Operator (Premier Parks), you'll be responsible for the scheduled mowing of various parks across the Queenstown Lakes District. The role includes:

• Regular mowing and maintaining of Premier parks across the Queenstown Lakes District to ensure optimal, high quality grass care
• Performing weed eating, edging, and general maintenance upkeep to keep all areas looking pristine
• Conducting routine maintenance on equipment to ensure it remains in excellent working condition
• Ongoing care of parks to meet the highest standards of presentation and client specifications

Who We’re Looking For:

We’re looking for experienced mower operators with a strong work ethic and a passion for maintaining green spaces. Ideal candidates will have:

• A solid track record of experience working in outdoor space maintenance including working with small plant and ride-on mowers
• Able to competently and safely operate commercial ride on mowers and lawn maintenance related machinery including carrying out basic level maintenance
• A full, current driver’s licence with manual driving capability being essential (Class 2 is also favourable)
• Physical fitness for the demands of parks maintenance and mower operator duties
• Basic computer skills for logging equipment maintenance and reporting tasks
• Commitment to our Green by Nature Health and Safety policies
• A positive, can do attitude with a willingness to learn and grow

• A performance-based remuneration ($28 - $34 per hour) based on experience that is reviewed annually
