Job summary

Recreational Services in Whangamata is seeking a Mower Operator to join our outdoor maintenance team. You will perform mowing, weed eating, and general parks upkeep, keeping our local grounds neat and well presented.

You must have a full NZ driver's licence (manual preferred) and enjoy working outside. Training is provided for equipment and safety, and you will be part of a supportive, family-oriented company.

Qualifications

• Must have a full, current driver licence and ability to drive a manual.
• Enjoy outdoor work and take pride in a job well done.
• Basic computer skills are beneficial.
• Commitment to health and safety policies.
• Positive, can-do attitude and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Mow, weed eat and perform general parks and grounds maintenance.
• Assist with basic mechanical maintenance of park equipment.

If you enjoy working outdoors, possess an awesome work ethic and have your full NZ drivers' licence, then this role would suit you! We currently have a vacancy for a Mower Operator to join our high-performing Whangamata team.

What does a mower operator do you ask?

You will be responsible for general parks and grounds maintenance with activities including (and we will train you if you're not an expert), mowing, weed eating, basic mechanical maintenance of plant and ensuring that the grounds always look well presented. This is a varied, physical role upkeeping our local community, where you will be a highly valued member of the team!

Who we are looking for:

Not only will you be reliable and motivated, but you will also have:

• A full, current driver license with the ability to drive a manual - even better if you have a class 2 license.
