Job summary

Auckland City MONTESSORI ST JOHNS LIMITED in New Zealand is seeking passionate Montessori ECE assistants to join our early childhood education team. This is a support role working alongside our teaching staff to provide a safe, positive and nurturing environment for children aged 0 to 6.

Starting pay is $26 to $30 hourly, fixed according to experience for at least 30 hours a week; overtime will be paid at the above pay rate. NZ teacher registration is not required for this position.

Qualifications

• Two years of relevant Montessori experience or
• A recognised AMI/AMS Montessori teaching qualification.

Responsibilities

• Supervising and caring for children aged 0 to 6 in a Montessori classroom.
• Assisting with Montessori-based learning activities and routines.
• Supporting children's social, emotional and physical development.
• Preparing learning materials and maintaining a clean, safe learning environment.
• Assisting with meals, hygiene and daily routines.
• Observing and documenting information for teaching staff.
