Planit – An NRI Company in Wellington invites a Quality Engineer Lead to accelerate quality across mobile, API, database and UI testing. You will lead testing teams, collaborate with clients on requirements, and drive test strategy and documentation while embracing AI-assisted testing.

This Wellington-based role emphasizes hands-on testing leadership, test asset creation, and stakeholder management within a consulting framework.

• Proven experience with mobile app testing is essential.
• Solid experience with API, database and UI testing.
• Experience leading testing teams and stakeholder management skills.
• Excellent communicator with client teams and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Review requirements for testability.
• Proven experience with mobile app testing is essential.
• Solid experience with API, database, UI testing.
• Contribute to test plans and other high level documentation where required
• Collaborate with clients for user and systems requirements when documentation is insufficient
• Experience leading testing teams and stakeholder management skills.
• Identify test conditions/test objectives and derive test cases using advanced test techniques
• Identify and apply tools to assist with the acceleration of quality
• Create comprehensive test assets in the appropriate tools relevant to test conditions
• Utilise appropriate tools to execute test cases and report results
• Raise, track and close defects
• Be a good communicator, able to collaborate with client teams
• Enjoy change and new challenges. This is a Consulting role
• Be passionate about quality practices within IT delivery
