Job summary

Westpac New Zealand is seeking a Mobile Lending Manager to cover the Bay of Plenty region. You will build your own pipeline, meet customers where they are, and deliver lending solutions for home buyers and SMEs. This role rewards proactive networking, seminars, and strong local brand collaboration with Westpac.

You’ll primarily focus on residential lending while supporting SME lending with financial interpretation, offering autonomy and ownership of your success within a trusted banking network.

Qualifications

• 3+ years' home lending experience with strong credit acumen.
• Expert knowledge of residential lending, including complex structures (trusts, multi-party deals, construction).
• Experience or confidence in SME lending, able to interpret financials and support small business customers.
• NZ Certificate in Financial Services (Level 5) - Residential Property Lending (completed or in progress).
• A true hunter mindset - strong networks, a love of prospecting, and a proven ability to originate new business.
• Deep understanding of the local market and the home buying journey.
• Flexibility and mobility, meeting customers at times and places that work for them.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, comfortable running seminars and community events.
• A customer-first approach, delivering experiences built on trust, empathy, and expertise.
