Job summary

Norwood in Te Awamutu is seeking a skilled Field Service Technician to join our team. This hands-on role involves working with customers, diagnosing faults, and getting equipment back up and running across our agricultural and construction machinery portfolio.

You’ll carry out scheduled servicing, on-site diagnostics, and repairs, with a focus on safety, quality workmanship, and strong communication. We offer a competitive hourly rate, overtime and on-call allowances, a company vehicle, tool

Qualifications

• Heavy automotive trade qualification and/or 3+ years’ experience in heavy machinery repairs & servicing.
• Experience working on agricultural, construction, industrial or similar heavy equipment.
• Strong technical knowledge and fault-finding abilities in diagnosing and repairing mechanical, hydraulic, electrical and electronic faults.
• Computer skills including the use of OEM diagnostic software.
• Excellent customer focus and clear communication; ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Servicing and maintaining agricultural, construction and industrial machinery and equipment.
• Diagnosing and repairing mechanical, hydraulic, electrical and electronic faults.
• Completing service reports and job documentation accurately.
• Working with parts, sales and service teams to deliver outstanding customer outcomes.
• Building strong relationships with customers through clear communication and reliable service.
