Job summary

Inland Revenue in Wellington is seeking a Ministerial Advisor (Domain Specialist L1) to support the Minister of Revenue’s office. This 12-month fixed-term opportunity involves drafting high-quality responses, coordinating information requests and providing timely, expert advice across the organisation.

You will build relationships with colleagues across Inland Revenue, manage competing priorities and communicate clearly to support transparency and accountability in ministerial engagements.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, draft and review responses to Official Information Act requests, Parliamentary Questions and other ministerial material
• Provide practical advice and support to Inland Revenue staff on the Official Information Act and related technical matters
• Work across Inland Revenue to gather information, test advice and identify emerging issues
• Build effective relationships with colleagues across Inland Revenue and the Minister of Revenue’s office
• Manage competing priorities and deliver accurate, well-judged work in a fast-paced environment
