Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required.
- Min 5 years in electrical design, mining/industrial preferred.
- Experience with MCCs, VSDs and industrial automation.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD Electrical or EPLAN.
- Knowledge of hazardous area electrical principles.
Responsibilities
- Design and specify electrical systems for mining equipment and processing plants.
- Create detailed schematics, single-line diagrams, and wiring schedules.
- Select switchgear, transformers, motors, VSDs, and instrumentation.
- Ensure designs comply with mining safety standards and codes.
- Apply hazardous area installation knowledge for Ex compliance.
- Collaborate with mechanical/process engineers and PMs.
- Review proposals, shop drawings, and installation work.
- Assist with site investigations, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
- Prepare technical reports, specifications, and project docs.
