Job summary

George Weston Foods is seeking a Merchandising Coordinator for the North Island, mainly office-based with a pool car for in-store support. You will coordinate merchandising operations, onboarding, rosters and ensure teams have the tools they need.

We value highly organised individuals with strong administration, communication and process‑management skills who can work Sunday–Thursday as the core schedule and liaise with field sales leadership across the North Island.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in administrative or coordination roles (e.g., customer service, PA/EA, office support).
• Strong organisational and time management skills with ability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Excellent administrative skills with high accuracy and attention to detail.
• Strong computer skills and confidence using Microsoft Office and business systems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication across all levels of the business.
• Process-driven approach with ability to establish and improve ways of working.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently while remaining collaborative.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate recruitment, onboarding, induction and ongoing training of merchandisers.
• Manage merchandising rosters, payroll administration and leave coverage.
• Act as the key contact for merchandising teams across the region with national support as required.
• Support communication of business priorities and field team requirements.
• Assist merchandisers with systems, reporting and technical support.
• Establish, maintain and continuously improve administrative processes and ways of working.
• Collaborate with Regional Sales Managers and Area Managers to boost team effectiveness.
• Champion health, safety and compliance initiatives across the region.
• Build strong relationships with merchandisers and key stakeholders.
