Only Ur's Limited in Dunedin, Otago, is seeking a Full-Time Beauty Therapist and Nail Technician to join our busy, dynamic team. You will deliver beauty and nail treatments to a high standard, while working confidently on your own and as part of a friendly group.

The business operates seven days a week; you must roster shifts including weekends. We offer a competitive pay rate of $24.00–$31.00 per hour, with 30 guaranteed hours per week and up to 40.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of relevant work experience as a Beauty Therapist or Nail Technician, or NZ Level 2 qualification.
• Practical skills in beauty and nail treatments, including manicures, pedicures and facial treatments.
• Strong customer service skills with a friendly, professional manner.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Availability to work rostered shifts across Monday to Sunday, including weekends.

Responsabilités

• Discuss client needs and advise on suitable skin care and makeup.
• Apply general cosmetic and corrective makeup.
• Perform manicures and pedicures including nail art and artificial nails.
• Perform facial and body treatments such as massages.
• Wax, bleach, tint, depilation and electrolysis.
• Evaluate beauty therapy processes and products.
• Receive bookings and maintain client records.
• Advise on and sell cosmetic and nail care products.
• Maintain clean, safe and hygienic work stations and equipment.

About the Role

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

• Discussing client needs, analysing skin characteristics and advising on suitable skin care, treatments and the application of make-up
• Applying general cosmetic and corrective make-up
• Performing manicures and pedicures, including decorative nail art, application of artificial nails, nail repair, and other specialised hand and foot treatments
• Performing facial and body treatments such as massages
• Treating unwanted hair through waxing, bleaching, tinting, depilation and electrolysis
• Evaluating beauty therapy processes and products
• Receiving bookings, arranging appointments and maintaining client records
• Providing advice on, and selling, cosmetic and nail care products
• Maintaining clean, safe and hygienic work stations, tools and equipment in line with health and safety requirements

Skills and Experience Required

• Minimum 1 year of relevant work experience as a Beauty Therapist or Nail Technician, OR a relevant New Zealand Level 2 (or higher) qualification, or an equivalent overseas qualification
• Practical skills in beauty and nail treatments, including manicures, pedicures and facial treatments
• Strong customer service skills with a friendly, professional manner
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Hard-working, reliable and willing to learn
• Availability to work rostered shifts across Monday to Sunday, including weekends

Desirable

• Experience with nail enhancements (acrylic, gel and nail art) would be an advantage
