Job summary

Only Ur's Limited in Dunedin is seeking full-time Beauty Therapists and Nail Technicians to join a busy team. You will deliver manicures, pedicures, facial treatments, makeup, waxing, and other beauty services to a high standard.

The role requires rostered shifts across seven days, including weekends, with a minimum 30 hours per week (up to 40). The hourly rate ranges from $24.00 to $31.00, depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of relevant work experience as a Beauty Therapist or Nail Technician or NZ Level 2 qualification.
• Practical skills in manicures, pedicures, and facial treatments.
• Strong customer service and professional demeanor.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Willingness to work rostered shifts including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Discussing client needs, analysing skin characteristics and advising on suitable skin care, treatments and makeup.
• Applying general cosmetic and corrective makeup.
• Performing manicures and pedicures, including decorative nail art, artificial nails, nail repair, and other hand/foot treatments.
• Performing facial and body treatments such as massages.
• Treating unwanted hair through waxing, bleaching, tinting, depilation and electrolysis.
• Evaluating beauty therapy processes and products.
• Receiving bookings, arranging appointments and maintaining client records.
• Providing advice on, and selling, cosmetic and nail care products.
• Maintaining clean, safe and hygienic work stations, tools and equipment in line with health and safety requirements.

About the Role

• Practical skills in beauty and nail treatments, including manicures, pedicures and facial treatments
• Strong customer service skills with a friendly, professional manner
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Hard-working, reliable and willing to learn
• Availability to work rostered shifts across Monday to Sunday, including weekends

Desirable

• Experience with nail enhancements (acrylic, gel and nail art) would be an advantage
