Job summary

City Doctors White Cross Palmerston North is seeking a friendly Medical Receptionist for a part-time role (minimum 10 hours per week) in Palmerston North. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact, delivering a welcoming and professional experience and supporting daily reception operations.

The role requires good communication, strong computer literacy, and the ability to handle a fast-paced clinical environment with accuracy and reliability.

Qualifications

• Previous medical reception experience preferred but not required.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Solid computer literacy and quick learner.
• Positive, professional, and team-focused attitude.
• A valid driver's licence would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Create a welcoming and positive experience for all patients and visitors.
• Answering telephone calls and scheduling appointments.
• Managing patient enquiries and account queries.
• Recording patient information, registrations, and updating patient records.
• Processing invoices and EFTPOS transactions.
• Supporting administrative and reception functions as required.
