Job summary

The Doctors are seeking a dedicated Medical Receptionist to join our Whakatāne-based clinic. You will be the friendly face patients see first, handling bookings, payments, and information with professionalism and care.

This permanent full-time role offers opportunities to grow admin and clinical knowledge within a supportive team environment. NZ residency or valid work permit required.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in administration and working within teams.
• Healthcare experience (preferred but not essential).
• A professional attitude, excellent customer service, and strong attention to detail.
• Reliability, focus, and a friendly personality.
• Proficiency with NZ Practice Management Systems (preferred) and strong computer skills.
• Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to remain calm and efficient under pressure.
• Flexibility with hours.

Responsibilities

• Be the first point of contact, greeting patients and delivering excellent service to patients face to face and over the phone.
• Providing patients with appropriate information to help them navigate their care.
• Booking appointments and processing payments in a timely and accurate manner.
• Accurately managing our patient database and records.
