Job summary

Visy Board in Wiri, Auckland is seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Fitter reporting to the Engineering Manager. This full-time permanent role supports maintenance and production to reduce downtime through preventative maintenance, breakdown repairs and fixed-plant tasks across the site.

You will have at least 3 years post-trade experience in heavy manufacturing, strong fault-finding skills, hydraulic/pneumatic diagnostics, welding capability, and a commitment to Health, Safety and Environmental

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years post-trade experience in an industrial/high volume manufacturing environment.
• Excellent fault-finding and diagnostic skills with the ability to work under urgency and pressure.
• Good written and communication skills with a strong focus on Health, Safety and Environmental practices.

Responsibilities

• Trouble shooting, machine inspections and attending to repairs and breakdowns.
• Carry out routine checks and planned maintenance to preserve machine efficiency.
• Utilise Electronic Maintenance Programs for data collection and analysis of maintenance information.
• Maintain awareness of safety, quality and environmental standards; perform ad hoc duties as required.
