Job summary

The Labour Supply Co – Avondale, North Island is seeking an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join a busy manufacturing facility. You’ll be responsible for day-to-day maintenance, repairs, and fabrication work across production machinery and equipment.

This role is based in West Auckland with an afternoon shift from 2.00pm to 10.00pm. Requirements include proven experience as a Mechanical Fitter in a manufacturing or industrial environment, strong aptitude with milling and lathing, fabrication

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Mechanical Fitter in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with experience in milling and lathing.
• Fabrication experience.
• Good fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• Reliable, proactive, and safety-focused attitude.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and reactive maintenance on production machinery.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults.
• Operate and maintain milling, lathing, and other precision machinery.
• Carry out fabrication and fitting work as required.
• Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to standard.
• Work closely with production teams to minimise downtime.

We’re looking for an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join a busy manufacturing facility.

• Perform preventative and reactive maintenance on production machinery
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults
• Must be able to operate and maintain milling, lathing, and other precision machinery
• Must be able to carry out fabrication and fitting work as required
• Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to standard
• Work closely with production teams to minimise downtime

What We’re Looking For

• Proven experience as a Mechanical Fitter in a manufacturing or industrial environment
• Strong mechanical aptitude with experience in milling and lathing
• Fabrication experience
• Good fault-finding and problem-solving skills
• Reliable, proactive, and safety-focused attitude
