Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a proactive Mechanical Engineer to support Queenstown's manufacturing operations. You will optimize processes, troubleshoot production-line issues, and implement improvements to enhance efficiency, quality, and safety.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or closely related field.
• - Minimum 3 years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial engineering role.
• - Solid understanding of manufacturing processes, machinery, and automation.
• - Proficiency in troubleshooting mechanical systems in a production environment.
• - Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles is a plus.
• - Good communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide immediate technical support for mechanical issues impacting production lines.
• - Analyze production data to identify opportunities for process improvement and waste reduction.
• - Implement modifications to machinery and processes to enhance performance and reliability.
• - Develop and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for mechanical equipment.
• - Collaborate with the maintenance team on equipment repairs and preventative maintenance strategies.
• - Participate in the design and implementation of new manufacturing equipment and tooling.
