Job summary

Wainuiomata High School in Lower Hutt is seeking a Certificated teacher for Mathematics and Statistics to join our dedicated team. This is a full-time, fixed-term maternity cover for the 2027 school year, starting 28/01/2027 and ending 27/01/2028.

Role covers Secondary (Years 7–15) / wharekura with scope to include other supporting subjects. Applicants must be NZ registered and able to commence Term 1 2027; base salary is set by the Secondary Teachers’ Collective Agreement.

Terms and conditions, including base salary, for this position is set by the Secondary Teachers’ Collective Agreement. The base salary for trained and registered teachers will depend on the applicant’s qualifications and experience. Individuals’ actual base salary will be established by a salary assessment once a role is confirmed.
