Job summary

Northern Southland College seeks a Certificated teacher to join the Mathematics Department, teaching Mathematics and statistics to Years 7–13. This full-time, permanent role offers subsidised accommodation and starts 28 January 2027.

The successful candidate will work in a PB4L school, contribute to the extra-curricular programme, and support students of mixed abilities. Applicants must hold a current practising certificate issued by the NZ Teaching Council and be eligible to work in NZ.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and innovative teacher to join our Mathematics Department. This is a permanent position predominantly teaching Maths but may include supporting subjects (please state in application). This is a wonderful opportunity to work and grow in a supportive environment, in a great rural community.

Applicants must be passionate about teaching students of mixed learning abilities. You will be driven by the desire to support every student to reach their potential.

Previous experience is desirable.

We are a PB4L (Positive Behaviour for Learning) school. The successful applicant will be expected to commit to the school's extra-curricular programme.
