Secondary Maths Teacher – South Auckland

Working In NZ Education is seeking a skilled and motivated Secondary Maths Teacher for a permanent position at a well-established secondary school in South Auckland.

We are looking for an experienced teacher with strengths in areas such as:

• Mathematics across Years 9–13 (approximately ages 13–18)
• Teaching both lower and upper secondary maths
• Algebra, geometry and statistics at junior levels
• Experience teaching senior maths pathways (such as calculus, statistics or mathematical modelling) is preferred but not essential
• Building strong numeracy foundations in younger students
• Supporting learners across a wide range of abilities, including extension and intervention
• Creating engaging, structured and well-paced lessons

The successful candidate will be confident teaching mathematics across different age groups and ability levels, and able to build confidence and problem-solving skills in a dynamic classroom environment.
