Job summary

Diocesan School for Girls in Epsom, Auckland, seeks a part-time Mathematics Teacher to cover Term 1, 2027 to Term 4, 2027. You will teach Mathematics to Years 8–10, aligning NZ Curriculum with the IB MYP, and contribute to a supportive Faculty culture.

The role requires confidence in mathematics teaching, NZ Curriculum knowledge, and a collaborative approach to student success and wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Confidence and capability in teaching Mathematics.
• Sound knowledge of the New Zealand Curriculum, with experience in (or enthusiasm for) the IB MYP.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to monitor student progress and provide meaningful feedback.
• A collaborative, team-oriented approach and a genuine commitment to student success and wellbeing.

Responsibilities

We have a vacancy for a Mathematics Teacher to start at the beginning of Term 1, 25th January 2027 to the 9th of December 2027. This is a part-time fixed term contract. You will be teaching 18 periods per 7-day cycle.

You will be

• Encouraging and helping every student reach their potential in Mathematics and Statistics
• Confidently teaching Mathematics for Years 8,9, 10 including delivery of the New Zealand Curriculum within the IB Middle Years Programme (MYP)
• Monitoring student progress and providing meaningful, timely feedback
• Fostering a supportive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment within a collaborative Faculty culture

You will be available to start in Term 1, 2027.
