Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of relevant massage work experience.
• Certificate in a massage-related qualification, or a Bachelor’s Degree in any major can replace the work experience requirement.
• Good understanding of the body channel system.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform massage techniques to release muscle tension and promote recovery.
• Apply a range of massage methods to support relaxation and circulation.
• Assess clients and provide rehabilitation guidance and stretching advice.
• Utilize adjunct therapies such as infrared lamps or essential oils as appropriate.
• Maintain high service standards and client safety in a professional setting.

Natthawaran International Ltd, T/A Ai Traditional Thai Massage. Our shop is located in Central Dunedin, we specialize in professional and traditional Thai massage and acupuncture services. We are currently seeking two skilled Massage Therapists to help maintain our high service standards. This is a full-time position, offering a minimum of 30 hours of work per week.

The duties for Massage Therapist include:

• Massaging the soft tissues of the body, such as muscles, tendons and ligaments, to assist healing
• Utilizing a range of massage techniques to enhance sports performance and prevent injury
• Administering treatments to promote relaxation, improve circulation and relieve muscle tension
• Assessing and treating specific soft tissue dysfunction and providing rehabilitation advice
• Employing otherMassage techniques , and complementary aids, such as infra- red lamps, wet compresses, ice, essential oils and herbal and mineral therapies, to assist recovery
• Assessing client's physical condition and case history and advising on stretching exercises and relaxation techniques

Requirements for this role include:

• At least 2 years of relevant work experience
• A certificate in a massage-related qualification, or a Bachelor’s Degree in any major, can replace the work experience requirement.
• Have a good understanding of the body channel system
• Have good interpersonal and communication skills
• Have a knowledge of Thai massage will be preferred.
