Job summary

Customise Talent Partners in Auckland, NZ seeks an experienced FMCG marketing leader for a broad Marketing Director role. You report to the CEO and sit on the Senior Leadership Team, guiding brand strategy, innovation and growth across a diverse portfolio of well‑established consumer brands.

This senior role requires strong leadership, stakeholder influence, and a track record of delivering commercial growth through digital, shopper insights and international partnerships.

Qualifications

  • Significant senior marketing experience in FMCG, food, beverage or consumer goods.
  • Proven brand strategy, innovation and NPD experience.
  • Track record of delivering measurable commercial growth.
  • Strong consumer, shopper and category insight capability.
  • Experience across digital and evolving consumer channels.
  • Strong people leadership and stakeholder management skills.
  • Credibility to influence senior executives and external partners.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the annual Brand and Communications Plan and develop longer-term brand growth strategies.
  • Own the end-to-end NPD and innovation pipeline, from consumer insight through to commercial launch.
  • Identify and prioritise major product, category and channel growth opportunities.
  • Partner closely with Sales to develop trade marketing and category growth strategies.
  • Lead digital, social, e‑commerce and consumer engagement strategy.
  • Build greater commercial discipline around marketing investment and ROI.
  • Develop strategic relationships with international brand principals and lead co-investment discussions.
  • Build and develop a high‑performing Marketing and Growth team.
  • Partner with the CEO and wider Senior Leadership Team on the future growth strategy of the business.

The role

An exciting opportunity for an experienced FMCG marketing leader to join an established New Zealand consumer goods business in a broad and commercially influential Marketing Director role. Reporting to the CEO and sitting on the Senior Leadership Team, you will lead the marketing and growth strategy across a diverse portfolio of well‑established consumer brands. This is a genuinely broad leadership role encompassing brand strategy, innovation and NPD, digital, consumer insights, category growth and international principal relationships.
