The International Maritime Institute of New Zealand is part of Nelson Marlborough Institute of Technology. We offer a wide range of maritime based courses to the local fishing industry and commercial operators around NZ and the world. We are currently undertaking recruitment for our 2026 academic year and seeking a full time (1.0 FTE) Tutor based in sunny Nelson to teach on our Maritime Engineering programme. We invest in modern training equipment, including a virtual bridge navigation simulator, lifeboat, Kongsberg full mission marine engineering simulator, fast rescue boat, speed boats and New Zealand's only three-storey fire training facility.
