Job summary

Vessev is shaping the future of marine transport with hydrofoiling electric vessels designed and built in Aotearoa. We seek an Electrical Technician to fabricate, assemble and install electrical components on our high‑performance boats, working in a close-knit team from a shared facility.

You’ll interpret wiring schematics, diagnose faults, and contribute to process improvements while maintaining safe workshop practices and collaborating with design and manufacturing teams to deliver quality

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in electrical assembly, cable harnessing, testing and commissioning.
• Ability to interpret schematics and build specifications accurately.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
• Commitment to safe, clean and professional workshop practices.

Responsibilities

• Electrical assembly: building systems per design docs and schematics.
• Hardware installation: fittings, cables, harnesses to vessel structures.
• Termination & integration: ensure reliable system integration.
• Testing & commissioning: electrical tests and validation.
• Fault diagnosis: troubleshoot and repair electrical faults.
• Quality assurance: inspect and meet high standards.
• Collaborate with engineers, technicians and boat builders to improve processes.
• Maintain a safe, organized workshop environment.
