Job summary

Vessev is redefining marine transport with hydrofoiling electric vessels designed and built in Aotearoa. We seek an Embedded Hardware Engineer to own PCB and embedded hardware design, enabling in-house IP and accelerated product development.

You will lead from concept through production, collaborating with controls, mechanical, and software teams to ensure robust, compliant hardware for marine applications. Join a hands-on team shaping the future of sustainable sea transport.

Qualifications

• Degree in electrical, electromechanical, or electronic engineering.
• 5+ years designing PCBs or embedded hardware.
• Strong grounding in analog and digital circuit design.
• Experience with signal integrity, power integrity, and EMC/EMI.
• Ability to balance design decisions with cost and manufacturability.

Responsibilities

• Design and model PCBs and embedded hardware from concept to prototype.
• Perform signal integrity, power integrity, and EMC/EMI analyses.
• Assess feasibility and optimise for cost while maintaining performance.
• Establish design standards and maintain documentation.
• Own the specification process and coordinate with cross-functional teams.
